"Hernia Op"

About: Leighton Hospital

After being sent by my doctor to Leighton Hospital in the late afternoon of friday 25/4/2014 I was seen on ward 10 by a registrar who diagnosed a Hernia in my stomach, I was very quickly sent for a CT scan and then had an op on saturday morning by the surgeon and her team. After my scan I was transfered to ward 12 where I cannot praise the staff enough. They were bright, breezy and very kind, especially one nurse who was so kind to the 6 patients in our bay. Everywhere was very clean. The porters on night duty who had to take me to and from the Xray dept were bright and cheerful and I was sent home Sunday afternoon. The only drawback is hospital food. I know in a large hospital it must be difficult but light attractive looking meals would be so much better when one is not well than unfortunately what seems to be on offer. But I am home now and my op is over so Thank You Leighton and keep up the good work.

We are very grateful that you have taken the time to contact us regarding the treatment and care given to you on wards 10 and 12. I will ensure that your feedback is given to the relevant teams. Staff are delighted to hear when patients feel that they have been well looked after, and we wish you a speedy recovery. I will pass on your comments to the catering department about the food.
