"The pre admission talk. Somewhere ..."

About: Southampton General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

The pre admission talk. Somewhere for relatives to reside.

What could be improved

patient after care

Anything else?

I reluctantly agreed to a chest operation, but 8 weeks after the event i still am left with no lung capacity on the left side due to fluid and little or no speech, which was ok before the op. No more dialogue has been received from the hospital since an outpatients clinic shortly afterwards, and no explaination as to why this has happened or when i am likely to make a full recovery if at all. My work is now suffering as i am expected to answer incoming phone calls, plus as an security officer i have to do routine foot patrols causing me great discomfort. I would appreciate some form of contact from the hospital, but somehow i doubt it will come. M.Jones. Salisbury

Mike: Please get in touch with us directly so that we can look into the care you have received. You can contact the Trust’s Patient Advice and Liaison Service by emailing pals@suht.swest.nhs.uk or call in to see us by coming to the main reception at Southampton General Hospital.

If you haven't already done so, we would also urge you to contact your GP for further advice on your ongoing health condition.
