"Clinical decision unit- the best!"

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

I had been escorting our residents to different hospitals around Hertfordshire and my experience in the Clinical Decision Unit yesterday was truly remarkable and fantastic. All the staff in that department was very accommodating, courteous and helpful. I have been offered unlimited drinks, sandwiches and biscuits while waiting. They also searched for soft foods for the resident who I escorted. Every staff never failed to ask me if I am okay or If I needed help from time to time. They've even helped me in changing the pad of my patient twice and transferred her in a comfortable bed while we were waiting for the test results and transport. To all the staff, thank you very much indeed for going an extra mile to help us. Your little but superb department is the best!

We'll make sure that the CDU team attached to the QEII's A&E service get to read your kind words - thanks for taking the time to tell us how well cared for you felt you and your resident were when using the service recently.
