I have been visiting Good Hope Hospital for some 5 years now. In all my visits whether it was as an Outpatient or Inpatient I have never had any reason to complain regarding any service received. Having been an Inpatient on two occasions I can confirm that all services in which I was involved gave their service with efficiency and kindness. They were certainly very much aware that you were the important factor in the hospital, and not an inconvenience. It was very refreshing to know that however busy everyone was, your needs were paramount, and most important of all the nursing staff made every effort to ensure your safety and comfort during your stay. (I have stayed in a few 4 star hotels that could not come close to the standards achieved at Good Hope). A good deal of extremely difficult and successful re-development has taken place over the past 5 years, for the benefit of patients, but not once did I hear or experience criticism or complaint from any member of staff about inconvenience caused. I did however hear a good many staff apologising to patients for any inconvenience which may have been experienced during the improvement renovations. Unfortunately my problems have not yet been completely resolved, however, I have no doubt that the Doctors and Consultants will succeed in their efforts to achieve a complete and satisfactory conclusion to my condition, and have great faith in the ability of all support staff in order to achieve that quest.
