"Ambulance Attendance to pavement accident"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

Woman cyclist speeding on the pavement knocked me down on the pavement and the bike-chain caught my Achilles tendon (already repaired several years ago when it ruptured).

What was good:

- Courtesy of paramedics

- Speed of response to call by passer-by

- Sympathy for embarrassed cyclist

- Thoroughness

Dear Truffle

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences. I hope you are well and making a good recovery.

It is always rewarding to hear that our staff are continuing to provide the very best care to our patients when they need us most. I would like to be able to formally thank the staff who came to your aid on this occasions.

Would you be able to contact me, at your convenience, with the date and location of the ambulance attendance so that I may identify the staff involved? My email address is laura.martin@swast.nhs.uk

Thank you again for providing feedback on the service.

Kind regards

Laura
