"The building looks modern."

About: Barnet Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

The building looks modern.

What could be improved

Diagostics at the A&E are not doing the job.

And the porters are a bit too angry to be let loose near sick and injured people.

I had an injured leg and the triage nurse gave me a wheelchair, but as soon as I got to X-Ray another nurse took my wheelchair: that is unacceptable.

Anything else?

I was injured on the rugby pitch and managed to drag myself to the front door of the hospital during the evening.

I had an injured leg which was highly unstable and could not make it as far as the A&E entrance.

There were no staff at the main entrance and no way through to the A&E. So I spent 30 mins trying get through the main building to reach the A&E before an off duty nurse, who was going home, took pity on me and gave help.

After 30mins in the waiting room I saw the triage nurse who got me a wheelchair and had me taken to X-ray.

Promptly, another nurse came up and took away my wheelchair, leaving me with a walking stick – it’s difficult to hop on one leg using only a walking stick.

The Radiologist looked at my X-Ray, told me everything was in-line and said I was a hypochondriac, so I hopped back to the waiting room.

Finally after several hours hopping on one leg with only a walking stick, they gave me crutches and told me to come back in a few weeks if it hadn’t got better.

The next day I saw a private Physio who sent me for an MRI and diagnosed completely destroyed ligaments.
