"good service - A&E + medical team"

We want to compliment the excellent, efficient and caring service we received from out of hours GP (111 service) and A&E team Sunday 20/04. The nursing teams that night and day of 21/04 were very good. In particular , please pass our thanks to Sunday night admitting charge nurse, also to the sisters, doctors and nurses. The medical ward doctor attending ( as no wards beds were available) should be highly commended for following the protocol of starting acyclovir whilst pending return of test results. The patient's sister suffered devastating damage for this not happening in another Trust 5 years ago. So extremely well done! Finally, our thanks to your consultant who also came down from his ward to check our relative over and recommended that she could be thereafter treated at home , thus freeing up a bed. The whole process worked extremely well. 2 small added favourable comments. The A&E toilet was cleaned frequently and very well. And, the A&E tea trolley was a human touch that was well appreciated by the patient and her attending sons.
