Our daughter was admitted to Stoke Mandeville Hospital through A&E on Saturday. She was experiencing impaired circulation in her arm which was in a cast following a cycling accident 6 weeks ago. The A&E team quickly identified the problem and she required surgery. The operation, on Sunday, was complex and lasted 3.5 hours. She recovered quickly on Monday and was discharged on Tuesday afternoon.
We wish to say a big thank you to all involved – to the nurses and doctor in A&E for responding so quickly, to the surgeons for operating with such care on Easter Sunday, and to all the staff on Wards 16A and 2 for really excellent nursing care and support both during the night as well as during the day. Brilliant team work. Thank you.
"Brilliant team work. Thank you"
