About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary

They are not prompt in sending back the yellow books and my wife had to self diagnose as to the level of tablets (Warfarin) to take. She always puts a note in the book stapled stating please ring with the dosage if the booklet can not be returned the same day. No one ever replies. This is grossly irresponsible in my opinion. Response from Royal Lancaster Infirmary

The laboratory should always ring the patient if there is a change to their dose - they should be informed of this when they are placed onto anticoagulation programmes. We’d be extremely keen to discuss this issue with you – and would therefore ask you to contact our Patient Experience team on 01539 795497 to allow us to investigate and respond directly to you. Many thanks for raising this issue with us
