me and my partner attended hip and knee school yesterday at 1 oopm.i found it very helpful.but find it awkward to understand that at pre op assesment the nurse in chage said i would be in for at least 3 nights.then at hip and knee school they say they want you out on day 2 after surgery.i would like to think that your not on a converyer belt.where your in down to theatre then expected to be up and about and sent on your way.ive had trouble in the past where i dont cope to well with bad pain and left to suffer as staff just want the bed.so i hope this wont be the same this time on pembroke ward.iam also very scarred now about having my knee op.due to the fact that you know have to inject yourself with fragmin injections.iam scarred of needles.how am i going to do this.i couldnt slep last night for worrying.
