"Appalling 'service'"

About: Whipps Cross University Hospital

The community midwives/antenatal department are an absolute disaster! They never send appointment letters and when one calls to book in one's own appointment (as if there aren't enough other things to worry about in pregnancy), one receives attitude and excuses - and no appointment! They always promise to call back and never do, which requires hours of chasing and sitting on hold. The administrative staff are completely incompetent. If one wants to be treated like a human being, Whipps Cross is not the place to go. I will most certainly not be having my baby here, and hope I can book in for antenatal care at another hospital as soon as possible. If Whipps Cross can't even handle simple administrative tasks and dedicate time and attention to expectant mothers, then they surely can't be capable of ensuring a safe delivery.
