Having being admitted on Saturday with a broken ankle I was taken to minor injuries as A&E was busy! I was very impressed with the pathway from admission through to xray (of which I had 3) before being admitted to ward 23! The staff in minor injuries were brilliant, especially the nurse practitioner who kept me me fully informed of any decisions being made whilst also plastering my ankle and assisted me up to the ward for the first of my 3 night stay! I was seen almost immediately by the orthopaedic doctor who said I would be seen the following morning by the consultant, he arrived 8am and said I was first on the list! The post-op care on ward 23 was fantastic also, the staff very helpful, knowledgeable and happy to keep me up to date with care decisions and discharge plans! A very good experience and I will definitely recommend the hospital to others for both the quality of staff and the fantastic service they provide! Thank You!
