"Complaint"

About: Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital

Being diabetic I am a regular NHS patient at their Podiatry dept. I 'phoned for an appointment late morning on Thursday 17th April. The recorded message said no one was available and they would call me back if I left my details. As I hadn't heard by about 4:10 pm I 'phoned again. This time I was told the dept was now closed for Easter and wouldn't reopen until 9:30 am on Tuesday 22nd. I phoned at repeated intervals after 9:30 on 22nd but still got the "Closed for Easter" message. As I was still getting this message at 10:30 I phoned the main switchboard. They said the dept was closed because all the podiatry staff were in a meeting which should finish at about 12:30 pm and they had forgotten to turn off the "Easter closed" message. I commenced phoning again just after 12:30pm but was still getting the closed Easter message. About 2:00 pm today I got their alternative "Dept closed" message and if I left my details they would call me back--again. It is now 3:00 pm and still no message. This hospital is one of those fighting closure and transfer of services to Estuary View at Whitstable. I suggest this haphazard podiatry "service?" isn't exactly helping their cause. I also cannot find an E Mail address for their managerial staff on their website--strange how these people seem to make themselves unavailable to receive complaints. I've had to insert a mythological "visit date" for my EMail to be accepted
