"Excellent work by casualty staff"

About: Darent Valley Hospital / Cardiology

(as a relative),

In April 2014, my wife was taken the Darenth Hospital with a suspected heart problem and pains in her left arm.

During the whole of the time she was there, everybody attached to the casualty went out of their way to make her comfortable. She received ECG's, blood tests, x-rays, blood pressure tests physio tests and everything else connected with this type of medical care.

The staff certainly went out of their way to make her feel comfortable I am sorry that I did not get the names of any one of the ten people or so who looked after her but they were all very professional at their jobs and I include the ward orderly who gave her tea in the morning. I am pleased to say that she did not suffer a heart attack and she was discharged the following morning.

In the current climate of NHS bashing by the media I am pleased to say Darenth hospital is great. I do not feel anybody could find fault with your staff.

Thank you.

Thank you for your very welcome response

People seem to moan about the waiting times in casualty departments but my wife and I could not have cared how long it takes as long as you get the required result.

One thing I forgot to mention was the fact I caught a nasty cold in the casualty waiting room. This was down to the howling gale that was comming through the vents. But like I said, my wife has obtained the right result so I know I can put up with the sniffles for a couple of days

Thasnk you so much
