About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

Just accompanied my 78 year old mother to the new walk in cente. Pitch fork injury to leg which needed attention over the bank holiday . The receptionist in A&E deserves a customer care award . Friendly , welcoming and explained next steps brilliantly . The triage nurse was able to convince my mum that her injury did warrent " bothering the NHS" and put her at ease by telling her who would see her next . Walk in centre nurses are J's credit to QE2 . Friendly respectful and very knowledgable . I hope your director of nursing and commissioners read this

We were so pleased to see how well you felt you and your mother were looked after when you attended the QEII's A&E recently. Your kind words, which like all our NHS Choices comments, are shared with our senior nursing team (including our nursing director) and those providing the service being commented on.
