"Dealing with a Kidney Stone..."

While having a kidney stone removed by ureterscopy isn't on my top 10 life pleasures, I have to say that I was extremely happy with my time in Halton as a day patient having just that done. I was in ward B4 and found that all the staff were efficient and professional while being kind and considerate. I felt I was treated with respect. I arrived at 7 30, was on my way to the operating theatre by 9 and back on the ward, problem resolved, by 10 15. I would like to thank the doctor and his team for successfully performing the operation and the anaesthetists for keeping me safe and pain free. I think the prospect of the anaesthetic worried me more than the actual operation which, considering what they have to do to you, is quite something. I would have liked to have thanked the doctor personally but I realise that doctors are busy people and he probably had more important things to do. I do hope someone can pass my thanks to him. A week after the operation, apart from the odd stinging sensation, I am pretty much back to normal and fit. Many thanks to all concerned with my treatment while at Halton. I did like the calm atmosphere of the hospital.
