"Terrible Incontinence service! with very rude..."

My mother’s been using the incontinence service at Mile End Hospital for over 2 years and since then her incontinence has not improved in any way! The manager there is extremely rude! My mother recently went into hospital at London Hospital for a urine infection, which made her very confused, she had a fall at home and had to stay in hospital for 2 weeks. At the hospital they were making her wear large incontinence pads that strap around her body. Until the hospital I never even knew large incontinence pads existed. They told us at the hospital that we would be using those after she leaves hospital, I called the incontinence department at Mile End Hospital to inform them, and the manager came on the line and started have a go me! Telling me in a loud rude and aggressive manner that it doesn’t matter what the social worker or doctors at the hospital says, and that they are the only ones that decided what sort of pads my mother has to wear, which was completely unnecessary because I never insisted in the first place, I was just informing them that my mother was in hospital and the experience we had and we needed to have some pads, she then asked me aggressively the details of the hospital ward and pretty much put the phone down on me afterwards. At London hospital they gave us half a packet of large pads and told us we would be receiving some soon, since then it’s been a whole week and we have received nothing or heard anything from anyone. If my mother had received the correct pads from the start she probably would not have had a urine infection in the first place. We had only washable pads which we received 5 washable pads a year, yes that means they have to be washed too! This may have been cheaper for the department but was not good for my mum! At the London hospital the incontinence nurses had said that my mother would need the large pad because she’s incontinent, which was a complete contradiction to the incontinence service at Mile End Hospital. The incontinence service at Mile End Hospital is not fit for purpose and a total waste of tax payers money and time! I had to buy a private device to help her recover from her incontinence for £50 which looks promising that we’ve now got her using. Over 2 years we used Mile End Hospital and we did not know anything about these products.
