I attended North Tees day surgery on Tuesday 15th April 2014 for a laparoscopic cholosystectomy (gall bladder removal). This was the first procedure I had ever had done under general anaesthetic so I was very anxious to say the least. I was admitted at 7am and welcomed by a nurse who thoroughly explained the process. She put me at ease the whole time then introduced my to my anaesthetist who was great, very warm, funny and assured me I had nothing to be afraid of. I was under anaesthesia by 8.30 am and was in recovery by 10. I then went to the day case ward where I was to wait a minimum of 4 hours to ensure all was well. The nurses attended me every 15 mins and were very kind and caring. Apart from the expected soreness etc I would say my visit was a very positive one. Very clean environment and very very competent staff.
