What I liked

Ward staff of all grades went beyond ones expectations of both care and their professionalism moreover their treatment of all patients is a credit to the NHS; it’s a great shame the rest of the NHS could not replicate the patient care and attention that as a patient is at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire is the norm..

What could be improved

The IT hardware & software system was both unreliable and clearly created problems for the clinical staff. Retrieval of patient’s notes and test results created bed blocking moreover gave rise to patients being put at risk due to clinical staff not being able too access clinical test results furthermore putting staff at risk of wrongful accusations due to the delays they encountered trying to retrieve patients notes and care plans etc.

Anything else?

Sadly patients oft complain; however rarely celebrate the clinical expertise and care and attention that we as patients receive 24/7 from a dedicated workforce of true professionals whom go that extra mile for their patients at the UHNS.
