Whilst visiting on holiday in October 2013, my dad became ill, his condition worsened during the night and I rang the out of hours service as I was very concerned. The doctor called back promptly and asked me to bring my father to the walk in centre. When we arrived my father was seen within 15/20 mins and the wait was only due to a small baby requiring to be seen, completely understandable. The doctor my father saw was the doctor I spoke to on the phone, which was great as I did not have to go through everything again! He even complimented me on how well I had read out the names of my dad's current medication. Much better than here in Scotland where you talk to a doctor in a call centre then see a different doctor at the hospital out of hours! The doctor was thorough in his examination and took all factors of my father's existing medical conditions into consideration. He gave advice and medication required and my dad was back on his feet in a few days. Its not the place you want to visit whilst on holiday but the service we recieved was excellent. Thank you and my apologies for not writing this sooner I just realised now I could do this. :-)
"Excellent prompt care"
