"X-ray"

About: Berwick Infirmary

I saw my GP on Friday and had cortisone injection in my shoulder as the pain was excruciating. Also advised to get x-ray which I did on Monday 3/3/14. Rang am and got appointment for 3.30pm. Staff brilliant! Very friendly and helpful and even apologised for delay which was minimal. My one disappointment was the length of time I would have to wait for results. GP said probably 10 days, x-ray dept said up to 2 weeks. Bearing in mind that in a reply to a previous reviewer it as stated that you try to get results back in 2/3 day, this estimate is quite lengthy. Again, I really appreciate the efficiency, friendliness and courtesy of the staff I met.

Dear Sir / Madam, Sorry to hear that you've been in so much pain with your shoulder - I do hope the cortisone injection has given you some relief. Thank you for taking the time to give us some feedback on your recent experience in x-ray. I'm delighted you were seen quickly by friendly and helpful staff. It's exactly the kind of service we'd want to offer our patients. I am sorry that the 2 week wait for your results feels disappointing and too long for you. I can appreciate how keen you are to know how things stand. l will pass on these comments to the radiology team. It is important that they have the opportunity to hear about the things that really matter to patients, as well as receive the compliments that you so kindly passed on. Thanks again for getting in touch, Annie
