"Still waiting"

About: Wycombe Hospital

Back in October my consultant told me that I was in need of a hip replacement and that, as I was limping so badly and I am relatively young, I would be considered a priority. I had my pre-'ll assessment on 15 Jan and have heard nothing since.... apart from receiving antibiotics to use before my surgery to cure my mssa infection. My gp wrote in February to try to speed things along . I am now desperate. I have tried PALS, the surgical team but still nothing. How much longer must I wait and how can I find out more? I know this is not the correct forum for such questions but I know of no other way. Sorry.

Dear Gill. Thank you for taking the time to comment and we are so sorry to read about the experience you have been having with organising your hip replacement. Since you posted this comment I believe you have been in discussion with a member of our PALS team, Jaime, and that together we have been able to resolve this problem. We really appreciate you getting in touch with us and wish you all the best with your procedure. Kind regards Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust
