"Inadequate Care on F9"

About: Frimley Park Hospital (Frimley)

We visited a patient on ward F9 today and well we have never seen anything like it. We come from down south but moved up North a few years ago, all we can say is that your hospital and staff should be very ashamed at the complete lack of care there. My mothers pressure ulcer has got dramatically worse and she has been dropped twice, this is apparent from blood blisters next to the ulcers, consistent with being dropped on that area. I was so shocked, as our hospitals really care about their patients. For example patients at risk of pressure ulcers get moved every half an hour, no one did this in the 3.5 hours that we were there! There were so many things wrong, far too many to mention, but all to do with basic care.I am very concerned and worried for my mother being in Frimley as she is getting worse not better. Really the care is very poor and needs investigation, seriously so if anyone reads this please go and do something. Thanks. People of Surrey do not be satisfied with care in your hospitals, we know how so much better it should be.

We were very concerned to read about your experience. We normally advise anyone to raise issues immediately with the senior nurse on the ward so they can be addressed as quickly as possible. Our patient liaison team has been alerted and is now discussing the matter with the matron.
