"I feel no fear about the operation now"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I had a pre-op appointment at Ayr hospital for my knee replacement (which will happen next week).

Everybody was excellent. Particularly outstanding was the pre-op nurse, Mary Gordon, and the excellent Mr Walker. They were all so nice, and made the appointment easy and calming. I feel no fear about the operation now.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear Leaf126,

Thank you very much for taking the time to thank the staff you encountered at your pre-op. appointment. It can be very scary at a time like that, so it is great that the staff were so helpful and put you at ease. I will make sure this is passed on to Mr Walker and Mary Gordon.

I do hope you are recovering well and soon able to get out and about in some of the lovely spring days like today.

Kind regards,

Eunice
