"The referral team took several days to contact me"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

My GP was fantastic – he took time to listen and understood my concerns. He took my concerns seriously, made a thorough examination and clearly explained his proposed actions and solutions with his reasoning. He also clearly explained the referral process.

The referral team took several days to contact me. The initial appointment offered was outside the area at Russell’s Hall. When I turned it down, the next available appointment was some weeks later, which I was disappointed with.

The consultant that I saw was excellent – courteous, professional and thorough.

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments.

We are are sorry to hear that you feel there was a delay in arranging your referral. Following your consultation, your GP practice has three working days to dictate and send your referral through to TRAQS. Once we receive this we then have five working days to process your referral and contact you.

As all feedback is anonymous I am unable to look into your specific referral to establish where the delay occurred. If you would like to contact TRAQS on 01952 580441 we would be happy to look into this for you. However, it is pleasing to note that once you received an appointment you received excellent professional care.
