"A & E experience"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

I took my husband to Queens Hospital A & E early on Saturday 5th April as he was suffering from acute dizziness and sickness. I cannot speak highly enough of the efficiency, kindness and superb treatment we received. He had in fact suffered a stroke and this was diagnosed very quickly. He spent 3 days in the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit and was given many tests which pinpointed the cause. He was lucky in that it was not a more serious stroke and he is receiving physiotherapy now and with medication as well should make a very good recovery. Without exception all the staff that helped him - from the porters right up to the consultants - were nothing other than professional, kind and caring. The treatment he received was excellent and we are very grateful to everyone there.
