I arrived at the Accident & Emergency Department with a suspected fracture of my right leg. I was X-rayed, seen by a Doctor and fitted with plaster cast and issued with a fracture clinic appointment for the following morning all within 35 minutes. Throughout my ordeal I was cared for by true professionals who were all so kind and caring; a real credit to the medical profession and indeed the hospital. Subsequent visits to the fracture clinic, the same excellent, service continued under the care of a Registrar. I have since had to visit the ‘plaster room’ on a number of occasion and I can honestly say that the nursing care and medical treatment I have received is of the highest professional and caring standards an individual can possibly receive. In particular I would like to commend the Sister, Staff Nurse and another Sister for their outstanding kindness, professionalism and devotion to the needs of all patients that were being treated and cared for by them in the ‘plaster room’ . A big thank you! Finally, sadly I am not a ‘newcomer’ to medical care over the past 7 years and have been treated by both NHS and private hospitals. I can honestly say the care and attention I received at Bedford General hospital has by far the best. Please could you pass my thanks on to the person in charge of the unit and staff. Yours Sincerely Mr Chris Rodbourne
"Outstanding Care"
