I have had an acetabular fracture of the pelvis and been confined to bed for 6 weeks and then 6 weeks at home using a walking frame, on one leg, before I could see the light of day. When I was told I could put weight on my left leg I was given crutches so I could go outside. After a few weeks of physiotherapy I was referred to Hydrotherapy! This was amazing, as it was the first time I could move freely and without any pain or encumbrances for over 4 months! It was as if I was a caged bird that had been set free to fly when I was in the pool! This gave my physical well being and mental well being such a tremendous boost, perhaps more my mental than physical! It is very hard to say which was better! Without Hydrotherapy, I very much doubt if I would have made the progress that I have made in the time! The place was great, the reception was great and the physiotherapy staff were were absolutely brilliant!! Very sincerely, George Wito. I do not see Physiotherapy listed in the list departments
