"3 months after 2 stents feeling worse and worried"

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital

My uncle had 2 stents implanted in October and is now feeling worse - in pain - almost fainted at rehabilitation clinic appointment, is on one full tablet a day to mitigate angina and was told by cardiac unit that if he needed to use inhaler more than twice in one day to ring 999. This is just not good enough. His GP has had to write - yes write - not ring urgently - to try to arrange an urgent follow up - if any one who reads this can help us please do so. thank you.

Thank you for your feedback, I am sorry that your uncle is having ongoing problems following his procedure. I have spoken with the Matron in the Cardiac Centre, she has asked that your uncle contact the Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurses on 01253 655326, who will be able to offer further assistance and guidance. Matron has made the Rehabilitation team aware and they are expecting a call. Best Wishes Andrea
