My baby underwent complex cardiac surgery in October 2013. All aspects of care were of of an exceptional high standard. All nurses were wonderful and dedicated. I received unlimited emotional support. The doctors were highly competent and effective. I always felt my son was safe. Care received in paediatric intensive care could not have been improved and surpassed all expectations. Ultimately I am most grateful to the cardiothoracic surgeon who may well have treated my son as though he would his own child. Undoubtedly skilled at difficult surgery. My son remains well 3 months later.
