"She is very precious to us but was in good hands"

About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as a relative),

My mom had a total hip replacement three weeks ago. The care from the out patient appointment, pre operative assessment, care in the Victoria ward have been fantastic.

Staff couldnt do enough to make sure she was aware of what was going to happen, treated with dignity and respect and supported to get home as soon as possible.

She is now recovering well and looking forward to a new lease of life. She has to return to have the other one done sometime in the future and I know she isnt worried about doing that after her experience. Thank you so much for looking after her. She is very precious to us but was in good hands.

Thank you for telling us of your Mum's experience. We were very pleased to learn that she is recovering well. Staff work hard to care for our patients and are always happy to be told when they have 'got it right' Regards
