About: South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre

(as the patient),

What I liked

from the moment of admission I felt very comfortable and confident due to the very professional and friendly way that I was admitted. Reception staff were expecting me and I was conducted to the theatre reception area quickly. I had been going in to have my right knee replaced but whilst waiting to be admitted ( less than 3 months) my left knee had been overcompensating and when I informed the consultant the operation was changed and the left knee operated on. After the operation the nursing staff were very kind and attentive and the Phisios fantastic I was walking within 24hours and was discharged 48 hours later with Phisio from my local hospital arranged. £ months later I returned to have my right knee sorted and the procedure was as before only this time I was out in 52 hours walking and walking without assistance within 2 weeks. My consultant Mr Adikari and his team are miracle workers and for the first time in 3 years I can walk over 1 mile and I am improving each day. I am only 63 years of age and as you will no doubt appreciate a mobility problem was very debilatating and restricted the enjoyment that I was recieving from my Grand children.

Thank you so much SWLEOC
