"I was seen within 4 weeks"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

I went to opticians for routine, overdue eye check and found I had a dark spot on my eye. Optician wrote to GP to refer to ophthalmologist to check it was nothing sinister.

I was seen within 4 weeks and eye seems okay – hooray!

No choice of clinic or day but fine.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback.

I am pleased to note that your results were positive and they found nothing sinister.

You mention that you were not offered a Choice of date/time. Without additional information I cannot comment but it is likely that you were placed onto a waiting list at the hospital due to lack of appointment slots and if this was the case the hospital would have booked an appointment date without contacting you first to discuss whether it was suitable.

I hope that this information answers your concerns?

Thank you again for taking the time to respond.
