"Emergency admission to SAU"

About: Royal Derby Hospital

I was referred to SAU on Sunday 16 September from the Walk in Centre and admitted that evening. Seen on Monday morning and ended up having an ultra sound and CT scan to define gall bladder problem and jaundice. I have to congratulate the staff for the excellent care and diagnosis and I am now waiting for an operation. All staff from top to bottom were brilliant and made a nervous patient feel I was in safe hands! The Government needs to put more funding into this excellent hospital and reward it's staff. Thank you, although I have an operation ahead, I feel more at ease now and less apprehensive.

Dear Joy. Thank you for your kind feedback regarding the staff in SAU. I will pass on your feedback to the team straight away. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you well for your operation and wish you a speedy recovery. I am very pleased to hear that the staff have put you at ease regarding your operation as we understand how frightening it can be for our patients. Thank you again for taking the time to provide this feedback. Kindest Regards Sarah Todd, Patient Experience Manager, Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
