"a new twins group at Summer House Children's Centre"

About: Summer House Children's centre

(as a staff member),

a healthvisitor passed contact details of a parent looking to access a group for mums, dads and carers of twins/multiple birth children.

On speaking with the mum; it was clear there was demand for such a session as there was no such group in the area and she knew of other parents in similar situation who were looking for a group to go to.

After passing all information to the co-ordinator and after a couple of contacts with mum; a new group was set-up in Summer House Children's Centre - Twins Group - run by the parent!

The group meet are due to meet the first Friday of each month (term time) at Summer House Children's Centre from 1: 00pm to 2: 30pm (please note the session in May, falls on the 9th).

It's a session for other mums, dads and carers of twin/multiple birth children to come along to meet others parents and carers so they can share stories and experiences and support each other. Siblings are welcome too.

That is great news - well done to the mum who volunteered to take this group on, it will really benefit the twin and multiple birth community.

Thank you to the staff who listened to the need and have supported the development. I look forward to hearing about the group's development over the coming months
