On the 14th March 2014 I was in extreme pain with gallstones and went to A&E. Form the time we were seen in reception from the time I was discharged 4 days later after having surgery for gallstones I was treated with care and compassion. I was in A&E then temporary moved to MSS before being seen by a surgeon who admitted me to day care where I stayed until discharge. I am a nurse and was not looking forward to being in hospital despite the severe pain I was in but the way the teams looked after me I feel should be praised people are very quick to complain but slow in praise. All the nurses working days and nights were extremely caring to all the patients on the ward and definitely went that extra mile, even the lady bringing the drinks and meals was so caring apologising for bringing the food around when some of us were unable to eat as nil by mouth awaiting surgery. I just want to say a big thank you to all staff from the receptionist in A&E to all the staff in Day Care Doctors Nurses HCAs and Housekeepers.
"A big thank you"
