"NHS patients going to private hospitals!"

I was given a choice of what hospital to attend for my appointment , I think because the waiting time was quite long for Blackpool Victoria i chose the Spire hospital. With hindsight i made a mistake. This is the reason. In all of my long life when attending any NHS hospital in different parts of the this country i have never been spoken to or made to feel a lesser person than I am until my appointment at the Spire Hospital. The consultant I saw was to say the least very abrupt, hardly gave me a chance to say a thing about my symptoms, cut my sentences short and just gestured with a pointed finger to sit in the examination chair. I felt even more annoyed when speaking to a friend that she had had a very similar experience with the same specialist and felt like I did. Could it be we were NHS patients going to a private hospital and we are not to be given any respect because we are not paying a fee. I understand that doctors are very busy people and I am not in the habit of complaining but i came out of this hospital quite numb with disbelief that i could be made to feel this worthless. IF ever given a choice again I would not choose this hospital
