I have now had multiple experiences with the Royal Free ranging across Accident & Emergency and Immunology (for myself) and A&E and Geriatric care for my 95-year old mother-in-law. It is without reservation that I wish to applaud the hospital for the quality of its care and the level of compassion and professionalism of its staff. Having had previous episodes of blood poisoning, I was admitted back in December 2012 after developing a suspicious leg rash and was speedily treated and subsequently referred to the Immunology Clinic. The latter was particularly rigorous and I much appreciated the extent of explanations offered and suggestions for personal reading for me to understand some of biochemistry around your immune system! My mother-in-law has had several episodes requiring admission to the RFH and the latest has demonstrated the quite extraordinary level of care and attention demonstrated by both nursing, medical and auxiliary staff. There is no organisation in the world that delivers flawless, perfect service 100% of the time but, on the basis of my and my immediate family's experiences, the Royal Free comes very close. Many, many thanks to the hospital staff at all levels.
