"Extreme gratitude"

About: Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Trust HQ

Our journey started in December 2013 in a North Wales Hospital following an angiogram which diagnosed that I needed a triple heart bypass. I was informed that my procedure would take place at Broadgreen LHCH which was quite daunting. I was then requested to attend a pre-operative assessment at Bangor in which I met the Broadgreen Team. The doctor carrying out my assessment and I met my Surgeon, who clarified that I understood what would be happening, and also if I had any queries that I would like answered. The surgeon shaking my own hand and that of my wife with utmost sincerity. We where given detailed information about what the operation entailed which was really useful prior to my admission ,also contact details of relatives accommodation which would be invaluable for my wife to be near me during my procedure. I had my operation on the 24th March 2014 and I am now at home having made a fantastic recovery following my surgery. I felt that I had to write this email, and have never done this kind of thing before, to express my sincere gratitude to my Surgeon, registrars Anaesthetists , Nursing Staff ,Porters in fact everyone at LHCH for all of their kindness care, compassion, and proffesionalism and feel that we in North Wales should be thankful that we are able to access such a invaluable resource.
