"My husbands forthcoming operation"

My husband is due to have an operation at Wycombe hospital at the end of April for the removal of a cyst on his right kidney.

Whilst I can understand that the surgeon doing the op only operates at certain hospitals I would like to ask on my husbands behalf if there is anyway that this can be done at Stoke Mandeville because the hospital is only 10 minutes from our home and it would make it so much easier for me as his wife and other family members to visit.

Does Stoke not have the facilities to do the op or could I as his wife please ask on this one occasion that consideration be given for it to be done nearer to home?
