"clinic 3 was clean even if new ..."

About: King's Mill Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

clinic 3 was clean even if new all clinics should be clean.

What could be improved

the waiting times to get a blood test even as its a ticket wait to be seen there is not enough staff in clinic to take your blood i had to wait 3/4 of ahour just to have a I.N.R TEST when my turn came was told we have not got staff .

well its a good way spending all this money on new hospital yet you under staff a very needed deptment in clinic 3. the blood test clinic .

even as i have to be tested every week now ive stopped useing clinic 3 due to long waiting .

use my gp instead .and even when you request blood results you do not all ways phone patience

concerend as to INR levels .

as i need to know ASP DUE to waiting on heart opp at glenfield due to my AF + VT.

AND THE DOIN AWAY WITH THE YELLOW BOOK CAUSES BIG PROBLEMS

as had to carry book with me all time which is very helpfull when taken in on 999 to hospital out of this area they can see straight away what my INR has been .where as now cant .

this caused me problems this week at glenfield as they wanted to see my inr book.

TO SEE WHAT IT WAS OVER A MONTH .

for opp iam havin this monday 8th december

Anything else?

bring back the yellow INR BOOK ITS BETTER THAN THE BIT OF PAPER SLIP YOU SEND NOW .AND REDUCE BLOOD TEST WAITTING TIME PLEASE.

Many thanks for your comments, all of which have been discussed with the anti-coagulant service. We are sorry that you have found some difficulties with the Single Sheet Therapy Service. This service replaced the anti-coagulant record book following consultation with patients at the hospital and is widely used in the Nottinghamshire area and beyond by other NHS Trusts.

If you would be kind enough to call the Patient Advice Service on 01623 672222 we would gladly discuss your specific concerns in more detail.
