"Left felling anxious and un informed"

About: New Cross Hospital

I was referred to the emergency gynaecology clinic for a procedure over a week ago. As the procedure is time sensitive I have really tried to connect the dots, checking they had received my referral and correct information. I was told my appointment would be arranged asap- calling daily to check on this. Every time I call I speak to a different person who seems to know nothing about me. Finally I am told the nurse will call me back- this has been every day and still no call. I have expressed how anxious and emotional I am about this procedure and that I would find a call from the sister reassuring - they said this was possible but still no call. Today I really pushed for an appointment- I was randomly told Wednesday at 2pm, not where or who with or how long it would take etc. now I know the doctor has to be present- which is what caused the hold up- not getting the sister and the doctors diaries to work together- so I asked if the doctor was now confirmed. I was told no. I said well how will I know whether to book time off work- they said the sister would let me know. This is supposedly the same sister that should have called me for the last 4 days so I have little confidence. So at present I am emotional, stressed and anxious about a procedure that is time sensitive and I still am not 100% sure what will happen to me. This is possible the worst patient care I have ever experienced.
