"Lack of feedback from Nuro consultant"

About: Leicester General Hospital

My wife had an appointment with a Neurology consultant who dismissed her first problem as something else nothing to do with him. He did a secondary test on something else and sent her for some blood tests, after five weeks she contacted her GP surgery who had no communication so she managed to get to speak to his secretary who told her the tests were negative and he had discharged her, but she said she would get back to her to this point we have not had a return call. I know the NHS is strapped for money but the cost of a phone call or a letter to explain would not break the bank. We couldn't believe the arrogance of the man.

Dear Reviewer Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are sorry to learn of this. We would very much like to investigate your comments further. In order to do this I’m afraid we would need a little more information, which can be sent to us at to communications@uhl-tr.nhs.uk. We would need the name of your wife, date of her visit to neurology at the General, along with her address and date of birth. If you also know the name of the consultant she saw, that would be really helpful too. Once again we apologise, and wish you and your wife well in her recovery. Sincerely, Communications Team Leicester’s Hospitals
