"Was okay."

When I was a patient at pebble lodge I felt that some of the staff were more concerned with their personal lives rather then trying to help us patients. The therapy groups I found helped in some ways, yet they were also quite pointless. I met some lovely people in their who I am still in contact with :) but my goodness..how much custard did the nhs want us to eat.

Thank you for your recent comment posted on NHS choices. I will discuss with staff the concerns you have raised about some staff being 'more concerned with their personal lives'. I am glad that you found some of the therapy groups useful, the team endeavour to offer a range of therapy groups to meet the current needs of young people at Pebble Lodge. The aim of each session is discussed with the young people in attendance and we also try to tailor a young person's weekly programme to their specific needs when possible. In light of your comment we will discuss with young people and staff at Pebble about how to ensure that the therapy groups offered remain relevant. We know from other young people's feedback that the the therapeutic benefit of groups varies, depending on where they are in their recovery and that sometimes the benefit of these groups is found after discharge from Pebble Lodge. I will pass your comments on about the custard to our catering team, I appreciate custard is not to everyone's liking. We will be reviewing our menus during our PLACE (Patient Led Assessment of the Care Environment) assessment and I will ensure your feedback is included within this assessment. If you would like to discuss any points with me further I would be happy to meet with you if this would be helpful. Stuart Lynch, Specialist Nurse Practitioner
