How sad that my 14mth granddaughter has been turned away as my daughter had not made an appointment ! we thought this was a A&E . When they arrived this afternoon with a suspect meningtis rash over my granddaughters body we were told we had to ring 111 first to see a doctor, how frustrating when one was sitting not more than 10ft away with no appointments for over an hour ! What's happened in this day and age . We had to go back home and wait for a doctor to say we can go back .We then had a phone call at 4.15 to say we could be seen at Hemel Hempstead for 4.30 , when we said we where worried we would not make it in time the receptionist rudely said "we were not that bothered then" how rude and frustrating to think we were standing in front of a doctor only to be turned away when the place was empty ! no wonder the health system is on its knees when its run by idiots.
