On boxing day 2012, I was rushed to Ayr hospital about 1 hour from death. Meningitis was diagnosed by the ICU unit in Ayr hospital. They saved my life with their expertise.
I would personally wish to thank Susan, Mark, and Tony for their efforts and saving me. I have absolutely no complaints about Ayr hospital, although I cannot remember most of the 7 weeks I spent in there.
I would also like to thank all the staff in the ophthalmology department, as I lost the sight in my right eye due to the meningitis, which assisted the onset of endogenous opthalmitis in my right eye.
I would like to thank Dr Awan, previously of ayr hospital, and Mr Srinivasson who has taken over my treatment. I had cataract surgery and then a cornea transplant last week to try and enhance my sight.
Thank you very much to nurses and doctors throughout Ayr Hospital. If not for them, I would not be here to tell my story.
"Thank you for the great care for bacterial menengitis"
