What I liked
When I visited my GP he arranged an appointment for me to see a specialist, this was a quick and prompt process which impressed me as I have not had much contact with the GP/hospital.
What could be improved
When I arrived at the Orthopeadic dept. I was seen fairly promptly and advised to drop a request for a scan around the corner to the scanning dept. It was here that I was told that a letter with an appointment date would be sent. It arrived a week later with a telephone number to call to make an appointment! I attended the scan to be told I would need a different type of scan and to go home and wait for another letter. A week later I'm still waiting and in pain to boot!
Anything else?
My question would be why does it take a week to get an appointment for a scan when that's all it took to see a surgeon. Why does it take a week to send out a letter with a telephone number on it when I was stood infront of the desk that arranges appointments. Why, when I was already in the scanning dept. do I have to wait weeks to go back and have a different scan. I've been off work for a month, heaven only knows how much longer I will have to wait for surgery!
