"Extremely patronising"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital

We took our elderly mother for an appt today in the general medical department.. Although we found all nurses and ancillary staff extremely helpful, the consultant we were taken in to see was anything but. He didn't seem to know why our mother was there, continued to speak quietly even though we explained she couldn't hear very well and his general way of communicating was very patronising. My sister and I were angered by his apparently uncaring attitude towards us all. I would like to say that on almost all previous visits to the hospital we have been treated very well by excellent staff.
