"I was so pleased to have the support, understanding and reassurance of the team"

I just wanted to let you know about the superb experience I recently had with the outreach physiotherapy team (POOT). I had a left knee replacement and would never have got the mobility I now have if I had not received their expert support. I needed their help in making sure I was doing my exercise effectively. In fact, without their instruction, I would have been completing the exercise incorrectly.

Despite being a qualified nurse, I was so pleased to have the support, understanding and reassurance of the team. At a time when I doubted my progress, they were able to remind me of how well I was doing, or to correct a particular movement to make it easier for me. They were also able to see me weekly for the first few weeks and offered telephone support at the very beginning when I was most anxious.

I found them to be reliable, professional, caring, compassionate and respectful of my concerns and particular issues.

I do hope that the team get recognition for their hard work and I especially wanted to thank Dianna who was the therapist that supported me the most in the time I was under the team.

I am more than happy to be involved in any way of supporting the team further.
