"Day Surgery Unit 25/3/14"

I was a morning patient at the day surgery unit yesterday. Everyone introduced themselves and were very caring. I was impressed with the organisation and how efficiently it worked there. Being first on the list I was in theatre at 9am and woke up in recovery at 10.45. I was then wheeled back to the dsu where I was given tea in a China mug that tasted so good and a sandwich. The staff rang my partner to collect me and brought me another cuppa while I waited. Everyone, from the first nurse who welcomed me into the unit to the consultant who asked if I had any last questions, was so nice it was almost a pleasure to be there. Today I even got a follow-up phone call checking that I was ok and asking if I had any question. I can definitely recommend the dsu.
